The hilly lands mostly lie at the middle area, the highest peak is 397m above the sea level. Five main rivers run across its domain such as Dagu Jia River, Heng River, Qin River. In the north stretches 41.7km coastline and 18 isles in the north face the city across the sea. There are 3 large natural bays along the seaside with vast waters, boasting ideal fishing base. Surrounded by hills on the three sides and the sea on the other side, the District enjoys a perfect tourist and summer resort, with picturesque hills, attractive coastal scenery and numerous historical sites dotted about here and there.
