 Zhifu District, Yantai City lies on the coast of the Yellow Sea and in the Northeastern part of Shandong Peninsula, at 37°24??37°38? north latitude and 123°16??121°29? east longitude. Connected to the hinterland of Shandong and facing the Republic of Korea and Japan across the sea, it is the center of economies, technologies and culture of Yantai City, one of the initial 14 coastal cities in China opening up to the outside. The district covers a total area of 174.5km2, and there are 12 neighborhood offices, 75 communities, 67 outskirt residential zones, with total population of 680,000 including non-farmer residents 580,000. |
